Hello,

My wife joined me as dependent here in Belgium. She is currently not working and her id card is expiring end of the year. The ID card had the same validity as of mine but i have received L card recently so my expiry is obviously extended to 10 years.

Considering i will be no longer a holder of card A and will not be in Foreign register, how the renewal of a dependent card A holder( wife ) will work and what documents will be normally required.

Any response will be appreciated.

You should contact your commune about this.  When you move to a new card type you should typically request that your spouse’s residency card be updated at the same time. I assume she will either be able to get an F card or, if she has lived in Belgium for 5 years, a B card. But your commune will need to clarify this for you
