Scholarship for postgraduate

Post new topic

Arkady Dull

Good day! I was recently accepted as a postgraduate student at Universidad tecnica federico santa maria. The university is ready to provide me with a scholarship of 500,000 pesos per month, as well as a liberation fron tuition fee and free lanches in canteen.

If anyone knows how things are now with prices, please tell me whether this money will be enough for me to live in Valparaiso? I also have to find housing (room) and rent from this money.

500,000 Chilean pesos is about $560 USD, as of today.

Numbeo estimates that a single person needs about 600,000 pesos a month, not including rent, to live on.  So I would guess you could live on half a million a month but without any luxuries or frills whatsoever.
