Hi all

My wife and I are looking to come to Mauritius from the U.K. for 3 to 6 months, renting a house and putting our 2 children (2 and 5 years old) in an international school/pre school.

We are looking to immerse ourselves into local culture but also to make friends with other ex pats.

Would anyone have any recommendations for areas we should be looking at to live and any tips for international schools?

Many thanks

jason

@jasonUK Hello Jason,

Welcome on board !

Feel free to read the section dedicated to schools and moving with children in our  Mauritius Expat Guide  > page 85

On which visa are you planning to move here ? I don't know if you will be required to produce a residence permit or OP to enrol your children in schools. (this need to be clarified)

Hello I suggest you settle in the North of the Island.  There are many affordable bungalows/appartments for rent and schools at a reasonable distance.
