Banking systems in Oman still under development and they already have adopted many new technologies in this regard. Everything seems that it is running all right so far, unless until you have an issue, problem, or mistake happen. The difference between Banking in Oman and other countries is to access professionals who can solve your problem. You have to call several times unless someone from online banking understands the problem you have encountered and solve it. In many cases no solution offered at all. Banking applications are also so far OK for daily transactions however, the menu's of the applications are having limited operation scopes. For selection of international banking versus local banking, as an expat living in the country for certain transactions can only be performed through local banks, such as your salary, payments for local services, etc. therefore it is a must to use local banks.  I also should add that some of the banks doing better than others since I am working with many of them, but at the end, accessibility to your bank who may understands your needs is important.

Best Regards to all.
