studying and being self employed

Hi everyone,

I was student in Belgium for seven years and then I worked as self employed for 3 years, but there is a gap of one year between my studying and receiving work permission! any suggestion for which unlimited duration card may I apply ? or I have to wait and finish my 5 years of working and then apply for an unlimited duration card? (L or B)
