Hello,

I applied for the verification against EU law while I was in the Netherlands visiting my fiance and I have to leave the country because of health reasons before I received the letter, now my fiance received the letter to do the appointment for biometric and the sticker one day after I arrive in my country. I already made the appointment for the fingerprints and the sticker and I will travel to the Netherlands in two weeks.

Do you guys believe that the fact that I come back to my country before I receive the letter will be a problem for my process. I'm Brazilian by the way, so I do not need I visa for 90 days in Europe.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

MVV visas, you have to apply for yourself at the Dutch Embassy in the country where you live.  Verification visas are applied for by your EU citizen husband/partner; they do it online, using their DigiD which would have been given to them when they registered with the Gemeente.

I hope this helps.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

I don't know for certain the answer to your question, but it seems unlikely that you would be penalised for events that were out of your control.  The requirements are described on the Dutch Government (IND) website (link) There is nothing that requires you to stay while your application is being dealt with.  You do need to be in the Netherlands with a valid passport when they come to put the stamp in your passport.

I hope this helps.
