Post new topic

Hi All, I'd like to know about the chance for disabled person to be an expat. Do you think is there any chance for disabled person who's not using wheelchair to be an expat and find a job in other country?

what country are you thinking about.
You would have to check the visa requirements of that country.
In uk companys cant discrimanate against the disabled. im disabled {not in wheelchair] and have a part time job 3 years, and they have had to call paramedics for me while i been at work.

Glad you have that kind of non-discriminatory acts in the workplace. Although we have laws for the disabled, it is just that the non-disabled would get more chance of getting the job than the one who is disabled.

For those who are disabled, we have an organization called Tahanang Walang Hagdnan (A HOuse without Stairs---the literal meaning) where they house some of their employees doing wood work and wheelchairs using the tab from the soda canisters.

I hope you will be able to find a suitable working place, Abid.
By the way, I am a SpEd Teacher so I understand what you are going through.

I was going to mention the ruddy hard work you'd have in Indonesia but I suspect I'd be teaching my granny how to suck eggs.

Best of luck.
