Good info on the eVisa border crossings, OceanBeach92107.

Unfortunately, trieutu, there are currently no visa-on-arrival (VOA) options at any of the crossings for a tourist visa. An application for an eVisa (i.e. electronic visa) must be submitted online, either by the applicant or by an agency on the applicant's behalf.

Can we do visa at any crossing boarder?

No. Online application only. For the list of crossings which accept the Evisa, see OceanBeach92107 's response in post #2 of this thread

High appreciate your help.If you know any visa agent in Dalat with reasonable price, please let me knowThank you very much,        -@trieutu

The application is quite simple, but should you have questions and/or concerns about the process, please do not hesitate to reach out to the forum for guidance. Lots of helpful folk here at expat.com

To submit an application for a 90 day eVisa, visit here. (Link). On that page, click "FOR FOREIGNERS".

Please let the forum know of the results of your application (whether by self or through an agency), the response time of the immigration dept, your border-run experience, etc. We would certainly appreciate hearing back from you.

For the e-visa, can we just do it at the boarder, or do we have to go to an embassy in another country?

Neither of those things.

You apply online (soon) and when your visa is approved you print out a copy (any copy shop can do it for you) and you present your evisa printout at the border when you are leaving the country and again when you are reentering.

Please spend some time reading the related sticky threads on this subject before you end up asking a lot of questions that have already been answered.

Pay special attention to the previous reply from Aidan.

If this all seems overwhelming to you, you'll probably need the assistance of a Visa agent but the person doesn't need to be there in Dalat.

Many of us can recommend online visa agents who can work with anyone anywhere in the country, but we don't do that in public messages.

So send anyone you want to contact for recommendations a private message.

Some Visa agents will also be able to arrange all of your transportation for you and even suggest alternate itineraries depending upon whether you want to do everything by ground transportation or if you are willing to take the flight or two.

Considering your location, this might be a good time to plan a little vacation time in HCMC and include a half day to use one of the local Visa services there and their visa border run service to and from Mộc Bài.

Or fly to Thailand or somewhere else outside the country and enjoy some time there and then return.

You actually have a lot of options but they will all cost some money..

My point is, just because you have to do a Visa run doesn't mean you can't make it enjoyable, unless you are really broke.

Good luck.

Just wonder, Do I need original approval letter for boarder run visa ? Or can print out like airport run visa. I read somewhere that boarder run visa must get from the authorized Agents only.

Please be careful about rumors, as they often circulate based on half-true information.

If the terms you've been using are indeed correct:

IF you have a Visa On Arrival approval letter for a business visa you arranged through an agent, you definitely must present that approval letter to the VOA desk when you arrive at an international airport in Vietnam.

Also, unless regulations have changed, VOA approval letters for business visas are only accepted at international airports; not at land border checkpoints or seaport checkpoints.

However, IF what you have now is a fully approved TOURIST E-Visa, then even if you got that with the help of an agent, you only need to submit a copy of that along with your passport at any authorized immigration checkpoint (Air, Land or Sea: See the list I posted earlier in this thread).

The big difference is that the TOURIST E-Visa IS an actual visa, but a BUSINESS visa approval letter is NOT a visa.

Only the VOA desk at an international airport can issue a business visa, once you submit the approval letter AND YOUR APPLICATION along with your passport.

I hope that's helpful for you.

Good luck!

It is very helpful information. Thank you very much

Addendum: Not applicable to the case in this thread, but a business visa can also be issued ahead of your visit at a foreign embassy/consulate of Vietnam, once you are able to provide an approval letter to them.

Hello. I finally got the approval letter for evisa without Agency. I'm going to Moc Bai landport to extend visa. One of visa agent told me that after I got the exit stamp from VN, I can walk to other gate to get stamp enter vn again without enter/exit from Cambodia broader gate. It means that I don't have to pay for Cambodia visa. I doubt about it, do you have any idea or similar experience like that before?

Thanks alot

That's totally and completely 100% FALSE

You must enter and exit Cambodia.

I would never trust that agent with anything.

A Vietnam passport holder can probably do that (one of the helpers for hire who can assist you across no-man's land for a price.

They don't need to process through Cambodia immigration if they don't want to.

It's MANDATORY for foreigners on tourist visa runs to do it.
