We will be in Puglia/Calabria for the month of January, 2024 to secure an upscale apartment to rent for about a year, This is for my husband and I (both of us are US citizens with no Italian ancestry) and we plan to retire in Southern Italy. I have been looking at Idealista for several months, however, I am discouraged at what is offered. I think we need to partner with a professional that knows the markets and can help us secure a lease while we are there in January. Aside from providing a comfortable base from which to continue our property search, the lease will be necessary to complete our Elective Residency application. We greatly appreciate any advice/recommendations you can offer.
