did anybody run into this problem

We never had problems there.  Usually most helpful although item price adjustments aren’t the favourite job for employees. Vietnamese seldom return or complain about goods - not like the west.  Many if not most stores don’t take returns. It’s up to the customer to double check before leaving the cash register.

We like Lottemart, so I wouldn’t judge on one bad experience - there aren’t a lot of choices in Vung Tau - Megamarket is good…

whos judging. i let god judge. but i think when the price is 40,000 and they charge me 50,000 they should be more friendly.We always check our bill but we go out to get out of the way for ppl to get by.and then we cant get back in because the security guard wont let us

Expats like to go to these places because they seem familiar, clean and bright, modern and convenient. However, just entering the place is annoying with having to go through the parking ritual, the crowds, kids, loud music and noise, having to ride the escalators, standing in the checkout line, etc. Eventually, I realized that I could buy everything I needed (I'm not a big consumer) elsewhere much more quickly and with less hassle.

Actually, the last time I went there (years ago), I had to park in the basement. There was one item I couldn't find in other stores, Mr. Viet Coffee (recommended, they have a website, also some Family Marts eventually started carrying it), so I was just going to pop in and pick up a couple bags. I parked near the doors. Suddenly, the security/parking guy showed up and started yelling at me about having to park my e-bike in the bicycle section over by the wall. So, I just shook my head and drove out the exit.

After that, I got coffee at Mitaco Cafe (124 Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa, Phường Thắng Tam, Vung Tau), fruits and veg at various places around the big junction of Hoang Hao Tham and Vo Thi Sau streets or on the streets around Cho Vung Tau (the central market), and multigrain bread and other grocery items at Q-Mart just off Phan Chu Trinh St. Q-Mart also has or used to have homemade mango-date bread, sausage rolls, etc. There's also Linh Phuong (86 Trần Hưng Đạo, Phường 1).

be advised i dont think everybody has a komplex because i think some ppl had a bad day. thats ok because i shrug that off.

the best way is just dont pay attention to those kind of ppl i think.

Not worth of hassle, welcome to Vietnam. Albeit I am bit surprised that they yelled at ya two since LM is always good place and I know LM Vung Tau very well.

I would personally avoid saturday and sunday evenings at Lotte Mart, too crowded, too busy.

for less than $3 - let it go…

prices are so cheap here even for us pensioners…

This is Vietnam - far from perfect but I’m guessing most foreigners aren’t being forced to live here, and things are worse where they came from or they wouldn’t be here?

Accept life here as the Vietnamese do and things go much more smoothly.  Foreigners have it pretty easy here…

ty my friend. we were also. my wife from here. oh well some ppl are educated and some are not. thats the way i think of it.

yeah for some money is ez to come by.
