Christmas Eve in Budapest.

Thank you.

I'm a real humbug and don't do holidays any longer.

I've changed my views on such things.

If it's not written in the BIble then it's manmade and pagen to me.

I am able to say that these days because in many ways we don't have to be influenced by society. If we had children in the house,  I can understand how hard it may be to have convictions to not celebrate holidays.

I was just telling my friend that in Budapest they hold a huge Xmas market. People from all over the world come to see it.

I haven't gone in years although it's just a few subways stops away for me.

I'm almost like a person who lives near the beach and doesn't go swimming.

I do wish everyone good health and happiness whatever time of the year it is.

We like our life (even with challenges), but Christmas or New Year for me just normal days. I do not like crowds at all (even if not agressive). I like to go to a restaurant with good and very polite service.

With Christmas or New Year we do our normal things. A day is a day.

Our wedding anniversary is Dec. 31

We sure picked the wrong day to get married in Vegas!

We were going for the 30th but IDK things got delayed a day.

Later when I worked in the casinos I once had to wrk on NYE at night.

Worst work day ever... ( usually I always seemed to have the 24th and 25th off working NYE wasn't bad on day shift)

I almost snapped when a silly wmen kept blowing a horn in my ear as I was dealing blackjack. The look I gave her and the bad cards she and her friends were getting forced them to tell her to stop blowing the darn horn.

People, crowds, not my thing at all.

Even in my youth I was always the first one to want to leave a party and go home.

Most shops in HU will be closed for 3 days!

Some will stay open till noon on the 24th.

I'm still used to thinking they will be open like they are in the states, some places there are 24/7.

I really shouldn't be such a hum-bug, most peple try to be on good behavior this time of year.

It's my personal new convictions to not celebrate holidays.

I might of changed my mind if we had a family gathering here or small children.

It's hard to break old habits that most of society follows.

I know though we still over eat this time of year. Having all those good treats in the stores is hard to say no to.
