Suggest a place to situate an office

Hi All

My Wife and three young girls are considering moving to Mauritius next year.

We know Mauritius pretty well having spent the last three Summers holidaying on the island.

We intend to open an office but where depends on a number of factors. Firstly the office has to be near home so that we can commute easily. I've been stuck in horrendous traffic jams from Port Louis to Tamarin. Could anyone suggest a place to situate an office which would be easier to commute to.

We've seen on the map that the Trou aux Biches area might be high on the list.

Ideally we'd like our home to be close to a good private preparatory school for the girls aged 7 and 9, and also close to the beach (perhaps a 5-10 minute walk).

Look forward to suggestions.

Thanks

J

hello and welcome on board, Jensen !

Please note that I have edited the title of your thread for better visibility.

The North might be the ideal place indeed. Have you contacted some schools yet ?

Hello Jensen,

As I was reading through your text, I was sure that the ideal place you are looking for is in the Moka region. But then again you mention that you need a place that's close to the beach and that kind of narrowed everything. I still do believe that the area you are looking for is  in the Moka region that's if you are willing to compromise on the 5-10mins walk to the beach. The area between Telfair to St. Pierre has really good residencial and business centers for offices. If not, you can go backwards to the Eben area aswell.

Thanks.

Prosper.

If you settle in Tamarin the CoCoWalk offices opposte MCB/Ruisseau Creaole might be ideal for you.
