Sorry if this seems like a really obvious question but I cannot find the D7 application form anywhere online? I have been told to get it off the vsf.global website but even if you type D7 into the search bar nothing comes up? It also does not come up under 'visa types'. I feel like I can't even get past the first hurdle here! Any help would be grately appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Becca, I got mine from the Portuguese Embassy in Manchester in February this year they send me copies there email is vistos.manchester@mne.pt , or maybe on of the moderators on here can also provide a link.

Hi Beccatry here https://vistos.mne.gov.pt/en/national-v … residency. This is the form I have just submitted for the D7

Becca0804

@nimrod_1976 & @wnmacd Thank you both! When you say 'submitted it' how do you submit it? Is it emailed or do you make an appointment and then take your application form and supporting documents with you? I just cant see any clear instructions on this very process. I want to make my appointment asap but I do not have access to half of my supporting documents as I am currently in Portugal for the month and not in the UK where my paperwork is - so if i have to send off all my paperwortk with my application form to get my appointment I will have to fly back to the UK to get it all. BUT if I can make the application and get the apppointment without these documents and then bring them to the appointment that would be ideal. Thank you so much in advance for any help!

@Becca0804 I got all my documents done and all the paperwork and NIF, Bank account etc whilst in Portugal and then went back to VFS in UK and presented it all in May and then waited 45 working days to be told the visa for 120 days was ready to be picked up and then my SEF appointment was then in November nearly 4 months after.

Becca0804

@nimrod_1976 aah yes this is so helpful, exactly what i have done - got my NIF, bank account etc whilst over here but my childs birth cetificate, my marriage certificate and our ACRO police check certificates are all in the UK so was thinking if i have to post or email with application form to get an appointment i wouldnt be able to! so what your saying is i can fill out the application form and make an appointment and then i wont need all my documents until i present it all at my appoitment? Thank you!

nimrod_1976

Yes I just applied for a DBS check and like I say went via the consulate to get a VFS appointment its a long winded process but did it all on my own without any lawyers etc, hardest thing was sorting out the accomodation side of things.

Becca0804

@JohnnyPT Thank you so much this is super helpful! This is the exact document i needed 🙏🏽

Becca0804

@nimrod_1976 Thats so great to hear. I am hoping to do the same so this advice is much appreciated. I will let you know how I get on! :)

Becca0804

@JohnnyPT Thank you for the link I have now got the correct form but I am applying for a D7 visa and putting my husband and son on my application does this mean one application form or do I need to fill one out for each of them also? Thank you!

wnmacd

@Becca0804Hi Becca. You have to make an appointment at one of the VFS Global centres either London, Manchester or Edinburgh and submit the application form plus all your supporting documents.Appointments are few an far between and I looked for weeks before I got one when I followed the link on Friday evening which gave me an apointment on Monday morning. You need to set up an account with VFSGlobal https://visa.vfsglobal.com/gbr/en/prt/? … 4wLjA.kind regards

Becca0804

@wnmacd Aahh thank you for this! I have set up an account, and I was hoping for an appointment in Feb but not sure if you can book that far in advance?

Becca0804

@johnnyPT can you also tell me if I need to book one appointment in London for myself  and then my husband & son come along to that appointment with me or when i book do i need to book an appointment slot for each of us? I know we each need our own application form but cant see anywhere that is says we need one joint appointment time or one each? Many thanks

@Becca0804,

1. You can apply for the visa alone, and then apply for the D6 visa (*) - family reunification.

Advantage: the financial resources are 100 % for you and 50 % for your partner

Disadvantage: it takes longer, at least at the moment, as there are many applications for this visa that are still waiting to be processed

(*) As a holder of this permit, you have the right to include members of your family residing in another country. All you need is to apply for family reunification to SEF/AIMA and provide legal proof of your relationship with the family member(s) you wish to add to this program. See the list of family members that you are eligible to request family reunification for with the Portugal D7 visa:

https://imigrante.sef.pt/en/solicitar/residir/art98-2/

2. Or you can both apply for the D7 visa, but then you'll still have to apply for the D6 for your child.

Advantage: it's quicker for your partner

Disadvantage: the financial resources are 100 % for each of you

@Becca0804

You need to book an appointment for each family member separately and bring all the documents to each appointment.

Nia Queiroz

@Becca0804

You need to have a form for each. Yours will be for the D7. Your husband and children for the D6.
