e-Visa Connection Issue

Post new topic

RTLisSB

Greetings,

I just received an email stating that my newest visa has been approved, but when I attempt to download it, I get a connection error. The connection issue must be on the government side as I still connect to and download from other websites.

I'm just wondering, is this common? If so, how long does it normally take to clear up?

Cheers,

Still stalled? Not many reports like this since the roll-out of that new (now defunct) eVisa application. It had led to applicants being compelled to seek the services of a travel agency, just to have their approved eVisa printed (sigh).

What's your new eVisa's start date? Hope that connection error clears quickly for you.

Not until the 18th of Jan.

Still receiving that connection error?

We have another member, Laurent futur Nha Trang, reporting an issue, here. (Link)

Yes, I tried on Monday and it was still not working. I'll check the link.

Very odd that we can reach the Immigration portal, and search for our approved visa's, but then can't download.

Thanks!

I just remembered that a few months back a member (I forget the name) was having difficulty with an eVisa download. He was eventually able to download it by using a different web browser.

Give that a try when you have time.

I will give it a try! Currently using Chrome. I'll let you know how it works out.

Ok, so, I have cleared my cache and data on Chrome and gave it a shot; no joy. I then cleared everything a second time and tried using Microsoft Edge; no joy.

I then cleared Chrome on my Samsung S22 and was able to download the visa. Just to be sure, I emailed it to myself as well.

So, it appears as though I have an e-copy of my visa. This afternoon I'll walk to the copy place and try to have it printed.

Fun times.

Excellent! So, same fix as here, apparently (i.e. try a different device).

Thanks for reporting back to the forum, and glad everything went well.

As an aside, I have read comments saying the visa must be in color, yet I have read others that say it doesn't. I have not found anything on the Immigration portal that calls for color.

I ask as the copy place I went to last time, for my Cambodian visa, wasn't able to print in color, for some reason.

Thoughts on getting the visa in black and white?

I always attempted to print mine in color, but I'm a bit AR about such things.

A good compromise for the sake of being careful would be to print it in B&W but also have the color PDF readily available on a smartphone in case there's any problem.

I'm pretty sure that B&W will never be a problem.
