The espetinho lady told me that she had traveled to Fortaleza recently and she paid R$28 for an espetinho there. I paid R$28 for two espetinhos and two cans of beer at her gourmet churrasquinho tonight in Ilhéus.

I was surprised at the price difference. Is Fortaleza an expensive city? I know Ilhéus is a cheap place to live. Is there an espetinho index that compares prices in cities in Brazil? Something similar to the Big Mac index?

Espetaria in Americana: most of the spetos cost 9 to 12 reais. Camarão is the more "expensive" at 15 reais

In June- São Paulo, my Uber trip from one airport to another cost me R$58.28

Today it was R$109.98...

Is this because of new year holiday prices?

Or has prices increased?
