SCHENGEN VISA OUTSOURCING WITH BLS COMPANY

Eduardopiriz

Good afternoon Expats from the UK,

Do UK citizens require a VISA to travel to SPAIN with a tourist VISA? I have been trying to get an appointment with BLS International to travel to SPAIN with a Tourist VISA since November 2023. She is a Thai National but has a permanent residency in the UK. BLS seems to be pushing their BIOMetrics service for 475 pounds!!

The BLS site says the mobile biometric service costs £175 pp, but they quoted me £487 when I emailed them.

I tried to make an appointment, but they were always busy. Isadditionalservices.php this a scam?

@Eduardopiriz  Sorry but i do not understand your post

Holders of British passports do not require a visa to travel to spain.

You do not explain why you say ’She has a Thai passport.’

A UK citizen planning to spend more than 90 days in Spain (in a 180 day period) requires a visa.

However a Thai national resident in UK is not a UK citizen and should therefore contact the Spanish Consulate/Embassy in the country of their citizenship

compel

Just to add, that a UK NLV costs 680 € So if the Thai person is planning to stay for 6 months that's probably about right, when you look at the website there's lots of different prices for the visas, but the consulate will tell you how much to pay. Start at the Consulate, it will always give you correct advice for free.

Interesting question. I guess you mean that you (Australian citizen) live in UK with your partner (Thai citizen) who has UK permanent residence?

Brits have visa-free travel (max 90 in 180) with their passport... ditto Aussies. Thai citizens need a Spanish tourist visa (or Schengen visa) instead. I don't think a UK PR exempts her from this requirement, but it should let her apply at the Spanish embassy in London rather than having to do it in Thailand. (The US guidance makes a similar point for Green Card holders vs. US citizens.)

The Schengen visa guidance is here. The cost mentioned is a more affordable 80 euros.
