Education Level in International Primary Schools

Post new topic

cassybuff

Hello!

I would like to know what children in 1. & 2. grade in international primary schools in Qatar learn.

We are a Swiss/Pakistani family. Maybe we will move to Qatar in summer 2025.

Our youngest son will be 4 years old in July and start kindergarten here in Switzerland and our eldest son will be 7 years old in October and start 1. year in primary school.

I want to know if my eldest son will have trouble, when joining 2. grade in Qatar since he will only start learning reading/writing, maths, ect… in 1. grade. Here in Switzerland kindergarten is mainly for social competences.

Thanking in advance for all replies! 1f601.svg

There is a Swiss school in Doha, so you could use this to make sure you follow the same curriculum.

@cassybuff From you explanation, I think your children will be fine. The education level here is similar to what you have just described.
