CRNM picture and prints

Canforbra

Will the federal police need to print and photograph me if they already did that before?

@Canforbra Yes, if this is a card renewal, they will fingerprint and take another photo.

No it is not a renewal.  I had to get fingerprints taken in brazil from the FP to send to the RCMP for my background check. When they did the ink prints for me they also took digital prints and a picture for their database as well.

@Canforbra Can’t speak from experience since I haven’t gone through that situation - although my guess would be those systems aren’t connected and they’ll do it again.

Maybe, maybe not.  Feel free to suggest  - courteously, of course - that your information is already on file.  If you already had a CPF at the time, they may even be able to retrieve it.   But you can never assume that a Brazilian agency will automatically use a record created for one purpose to satisfy another,  so be prepared to repeat the process.

In Brasil, it is best not to mess with the official protocol, when to comes to letting government representatives do their thing.

If you are doing your visa at GRU or SDU you'll be sitting there for hours anyways. At the local PF maybe not.......let them fingerprint you and take a photo again.
