I am a civil engineer with 25 years of experience in gas, petrochemical and rescue projects. I am looking for a suitable job in Germany.

In other posts you write that you are looking for a job in Switzerland, which is a separate country (and not even part of the EU).

I assume you already did your preparations, know how the German labour market works, which visa options are available - and you also have some German language abilities (B2 level should be sufficient for most jobs).

Which other efforts have you done to find a job? Did you make a list of suitable employers in your industry? Did you try to build a network and form connections? Have you applied at some employers, or for some advertised jobs? How many? What were the replies?

And, last ot least, what is your strategy and argumentation for convincing a potential employer to hire you, despite the uncertainty and additional effort for hiring a foreigner over a similarly skilled EU resident?

Having good answers to the questions above really maximizes your chances. If you have none, you will fail.
