I am planning to move to the Netherlands and in order to decide I will come next week to stay for couple of days in Amsterdam and see around. Anyone is available next Wednesday or Thursday coffee and a chat?

Well, now is a pretty good time of year to visit- if you can experience some wind, cold, and rain, that's probably the worst of Netherlands winter.

@Mu88 ahh okay. Personally I'd much rather it be cold enough so that it snows than being just above freezing and rainy, which is apparently what Amsterdam winter is lately (it's only my second winter here). But you'll get a good taste of it nevertheless.

Also note that summers here are starting to get a little intense - last few summers have seen multiple days over 35C, and since the vast majority of housing here don't have air conditioning, it can be uncomfortable.
