Personal tax table online - tax rate is TOO HIGH!

Post new topic

Hi everyone.

There is some confusion online as to whether the tax structure is in Dirhams, Us dollars or Euros! Companies providing the tax tables tend to provide them in dollars or Euros.

Looking at the Moroccan tax tables, it seems the personal income tax rate for Morocco is extremely high. According to it, anyone with a taxable income over 180000 MAD (approximately 16000 Euros) has to pay 38% tax??? Doesn't feel right.

Please correct me if I'm missing something here.

Anyone have any ideas about small business tax in Morocco?

Thanking everyone in advance.

Hello,

Indeed if you have a  net salary higher than 120.000 MAD per year wich is approximativly 11.000 Euros you are on the highest line of tax table.

Regarding businesses you are paying corporate tax which have the same logic of progressive income table.

Under 300.000 of profit you are paying 10%

Between 300.000 and 500.000 you pay 18%

Between 500.000 and 3.000.000 you pay 28%

3.000.000 and up you pay 38%.

You can allow to yourself compensation as manager and benefit from corporate tax table and pay 10% on the said compensation.

If you need legal and tax support reach me.

I will contact you again when I'm in Morocco.
