Post new topic

My CPR will expire in May this year. Can I apply for renewal online now ( in Feb) , as I will be out of bahrain in April and May? Will be helpful if someone can clarify.

It can be done anytime.  The new expiry date will start from the date of issuance of the renewed CPR.

I am seeing the following response in the ID services portal

"Please note that the ID card of the entered CPR is not expired, but you can still apply for a replacement of the lost/damaged ID card."

What does the above mean ? Will it be renewed for a period of 5 years ? Or will it be just a reissue with old validity ?

Will appreciate your input on this

There is no option for renewal until it expires.  Before that you choose lost/damaged and it will be issued with new validity for 5 years.
