Phuket, surfing housing etc

spockdoc

Hi,

Anyone living in Phuket?  Id love to hear you're experiences. I've traveled to Thailand many times. But never to Phuket..

Just learned they have surfing during the off season.  I am considering moving over there, teaching English and working to develop my online business and surf of course😁..

What's housing like etc?

Cheers

Erik

I live in Phuket and most every beach

has surf schools or surfboards to rent. I believe surin beach probably has the best waves.

I think they charge about eight or nine hundred baht per hour That includes instruction and board. That's less than thirty dollars usd

You have to be careful, though. Some of the beaches have a real nasty Riptide or undercurrent. I got caught in one I believe it was layan beach. That was the only beach I ever experienced that.

Not sure what you mean by surfing in the off season. I don't know that many people surf during the rainy season.
