Hi

I am seeking advice on health insurance -

Im arriving in Perth in a few weeks with my family and need to know what health cover and insurance is actually needed ?

I am aware of the reciprocal health cover etc. but want to know what health insurance is actually needed .... i know that we will need ambulance cover ... do we really need to add anything onto this giving the fact that standard healthcare is covered ?

company names, costs and any advice will be appreciated

thanks in advance

Jon

Hi Jon,

For peace of mind, consider comprehensive health insurance beyond basic reciprocal cover. Look into policies covering extras like dental, optical, and specialist services. Medibank, Bupa, and AHM are reputable providers. Costs vary based on coverage and family size. Ensure coverage aligns with your family's needs. Safe travels.

Definitely get ambulance cover, and for extra peace of mind, check out comprehensive plans from Medibank, Bupa, or AHM to cover things like dental and optical.

Hi Jonford

You’ll definitely want ambulance cover since it’s not included in Medicare. If you’re thinking about extras like hospital treatments or dental care, private health insurance could be a good option too.
