Advice Needed: One-Way Ticket to Bahrain for Business Setup?

I'm reaching out to gather some insights on a situation I'm currently facing. I'm in the midst of setting up a company in Bahrain and need to fly in from the UK soon to sign some important documents, such as the memorandum, and trying to get a personal self-sponsor visa issued.

I initially booked a one-way ticket to Bahrain, planning to finalise everything within my stay. I then realised you need a return/onward ticket, so I booked a refundable ticket from Manama to Dubai 23 days after the inbound flight. I'm not even sure if this is valid for my purposes...

This is so messy for several reasons. How am I supposed to know how long I will need to stay in order to get the CR setup finalised, and personal visa issued? Would an onward flight ticket be valid for my purposes? Can I even get a ~30 day visa issued so I can get everything setup?

Will the on-arrival visa assistants understand my case?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated, especially regarding the process and how immigration tends to view this.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards

As a british national, you will get a visa on arrival.  Immigration may or may not ask to see a return ticket.   In which case, show them the return ticket that you booked.   Be open about setting up a CR and not sure how long it will take.

CR including bank account may take up to a month if no issue arises.

Hi every body

I came 3 times as a Frenchman. I took the visa on arrival. For my last trip I only took the one-way ticket. They never asked me to show the return ticket. They only ask for the length of your stay to make you pay the correct visa rate

@XTang

Do you have any idea how long it would take roughly to get a personal visa (self-sponsored) then considering the security clearance & business name is approved?

Just wondering if this 4 weeks or 10 weeks+.

Thank you

If you had a cpr, then it could be matter of days. Since you don't, it can take a few weeks. But that is not the issue. You get CR without license and need address / bank account to get it active. Bank account can take a long time. Hence I said to keep a month in mind.

@XTang

Thank you for the information. My arrival is scheduled for early March. I'll try to get the maximum visa duration available and provide updates to this post accordingly, in-case anybody is interested.

Yes please do. Good luck as Ramadan starts in a week or so and everything drastically slows down then.

Update: Received a 90 day visa on arrival, they didn't really ask for any documents or reasons, to be honest. May have gotten lucky with the attendant. Will now try to get the rest of the business setup done.

Good luck and thanks for the update

CR was completed last month, still waiting for cpr appointment
