Hello

I work and live in Belgium with a single permit for highly qualified workers (card A).

Is it possible to invite a member of my family to visit me?

I have heard it is not possible. Who has experience with that?

Thank you.

Cheryl

Hello gafarvictoir,

I hope you can find the information you need from other members here on theBelgium forum.

If not, I suggest reaching out directly to the immigration office for proper guidance.

Cheers,

Cheryl

I tried this earlier in dec 2022 and also tried at different communes and they said they had stopped doing that for A card holders staring from Nov 2022. but I have previously got the same invite many times prior to Nov 2022 with A card. You can check the rules if they changed anything or you can ask at your commune, but you will need a appointment even for that.

@gafarvictoir why not? They can visit you with visa type C. Please refer to links below.
