@rsrenfrew Since they are working from a backlog, I'd guess you have another 4-6 weeks until it is ready to be picked up. Once you receive it, I would recommend you get the iphone/android app and use the e-version. That way you can keep your physical card at home in a safe place. I keep mine with my passport.
@ymartinez
End of January.
@ymartinez
good to know. Thanks. However, it only leaves my locked draw if it's imperative.
@mikehunter
Exactly my taake as well.
@abthree
He is a brazilian citizen/attorney and already has POA

REALLY? Handled only in Brasilia? That doesn't sound right to me because, from memory, the FP in SP signed a $22,500,000 BRL contract here for a local provider, but then again, this has all given me such a headache and lost opportunities I could well be mistaken. in another post, someone said they had that status, and they went to FP, and it was ready, but it still has not been updated in the system, which was somewhat "encouraging," if I might use that word.
I went and picked up my residency card today without getting an email. I just showed up and it was ready. So you might want to just show up to pick it up if it's been a couple weeks. Doesn't seem like the system is sending out emails saying it's ready.
The status for my CRNM in Sismigra changed today to "Seu documento foi encaminhado para impressão", noting that my interview at the PF in Rio de Janeiro was in mid-January. Hopefully will have my CRNM card in a month.
Just an FYI, PF in Goiania stated I would have my card by the end of May (I received my protocolo in early March). I did not receive it. Checking with them in person on June 10th, wanting to get an updated protocolo, they declined to update it, stating that I would have my card at or around the expiration date on the protocolo, which was June 16th. Lo and behold I received an email on the 18th stating the card is available for pick up at PF in Goiania. I hope this provides a possible time frame and some hope for those still waiting.
I guess once it's approved, three more steps can be checked anytime (assuming the system is up) by putting in DOB, RNM (w/o the dash "-"), and application number:

After initially applying in late October 2023 (A comedy of errors on my part), not being approved in the Daily register until 26 March 2024, and having my protocol approval meeting on 2 April 2024, I have been waiting. I guess a lot of you folks have also been waiting. It took a long time to get to any of these final 3 steps:
1.) Seu documento foi encaminhado para impressão
I went from step 1 last Friday to step 2 yesterday. I did have a Brazilian Attorney write an email, which I believe is why steps 1 and 2 happened so quickly (3 business days). If you want that individual's name and have had so many problems with only the protocol, you can Private Message me. I'll update you if I decide to venture to Lapa, SP, tomorrow or early-mid next week. Cheers!

Or try to rent an apartment in Sao Paulo from a big agency. Or apply for a credit card from a bank like Santander that has very strict underwriting (the strictest among the big banks.)
@Gerard Nardini
I have found many agencies (R/E), banks, etc. that refuse to accept it. I also heard a verbal altercation in my hotel lobby for someone who had lost their citizen RG, and the same BS as lack of identity. it truly is astonishing.

@mikehunter are you aware of anything special that needs to be done to sign up for the app? I downloaded the Carteira Digital do Migrante app but everytime I try to register my CRNM, I get an error about "nao conseguimos acessar este documento". I've tried both scanning the QR code and manually entering the details without success. Received my card back in April.
Yes, on the upper left corner of the back of your RNM is a QR code, that will give you the digital version you can take a foto of.
As an epilog, to get to "ready to be pickup" took about a month to populate. It's. nightmare, and I only have the digital version with me. Never the physical one unless I am going to a bank appointment or this like.
Finally a couple weeks I got it. It was printed on June 13, 2024.
@4alexnyc There is a master thread here on the Digital CRNM: https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.p … 75#5927762
If you are still having issues, post questions there, that keeps things centralized by topic and will help people find answers in the future.
Thanks!
Just sharing for informational purposes.... I just got my new CRNM card. I had my renewal intereview on March 23rd. The card was in the "... seu documento foi produzido e está em transito" phase since June 21st and then on August 5th it became available for pickup. So the last phase in my case took about six weeks.
I just got my residency approved yesterday, and the PF told me the entire CRNM process would take three months. Gonna be hopeful it's less than that, but at least my protocolo is good until November.
I just picked up my CRNM the other day, which makes mine a 5-week turn around.

Congrats! This definitely calls for a celebration -- enjoy.
@amelie2301 for me the entire process since approval was 4.5 months. But hopefully the pace is picking up.
@roddiesho I'm asusming that was the last phase that took five weeks, not since when you had the interview correct?
Finally received my card today!! Here are the dates of each step from Sismigra:
O requerimento está sendo processado. (11/01/24)
just curious to know if RNM printing delay issue got resolved? and anyone who applied in September, will he get the card within a month? or cards are still delayed? thanks
Anyone knows if this problem is resolved for those applying since August/September this year?
aly123 I have applied on Oct 1st, and from Oct 5th its on transit, so the printing problem seems to be resolved, but the transit took time maybe.
I want to check on the FP in-person today to see it might be delivered but they haven't updated the status !!!
@abi logos
That sounds great, and thanks for sharing. There will be a notification on that page when it's ready to collect.
At least for Sao Paulo, when it's ready to be collected, a form will appear there that should be completed. Only then it's possible to pick it up. So unless that's the case, I wouldn't bother visiting Policia Federal directly if there is no emergency.
the day before yesterday, I got my card . so almost 29 days
