Residence Permit in 2024 timelines

Dear all,

I would like to ask how long takes to issue the residence permit in Flanders after the WP was granted.

My timelines are the following:

First application. Living in Hungary but non EU citizen.

Region: Flanders

WP application: December 28th,2023.

WP Approval: February 2nd, 2024.

RP-Annex 46 : Still waiting.

Can you please share your timelines? furthermore, Can I contact directly the Belgium Immigration Office? Lawyer told me he will follow up only after 3 months as nowadays this is the current processing time, I believe its a lot of time and can be followed earlier.

Hi,

Indeed the duration of 3 months is rather common these days.

What restrictions are you currently having with regards to the RP. Is it stopping you to work or open a bank account or get an accommodation?.
