Hi,

My family and I are due to relocate to Riyad in 8 weeks. We are trying to figure out rental prices as it seems they are a lot high than we had been informed. I am seeking a villa in a compound for myself, Husband and toddler, so ideally 3beds as we have a teenager that will visit from time to time.

Ideally a compound with a Kindergarten would be preferred. Typically what is the rental range? also should I ask my company for temporary accommodation?

As a female how easy will be to obtain my driving license? I can drive but only hold an expired UAE driving license not UK.

Also as a female can I sponsor my family as my husband KSA job opportunity is no longer an option so we will likely need to relocate before he secures a job

Hi, minimum 250,000 SAR annually, good compounds looking at 300,000 plus.

Lack of public transport system means there are traffic hotspots so you want to be a reasonable distance from chosen school (not too far).

Regarding driving license - we as a family moved here 1 month ago and have so far used ubers and driver, mainly because the driving can be extremely aggressive and impatient here (no-one gives way!) Being female makes no difference to driving license. If you want one, here is an info link:

Yes your husband can come on a dependant visa linked to your work visa - when you get Iqama then he will also get Iqama.

Bear in mind the delendants tax (400 SAR per month per dependant).

Good luck in your future move!
