portuguese driving license exchange for new resident

Post new topic

GuestPoster098

I received my Portuguese resident card about 4 months ago. I want to go to my country for a vacation for about 2/3 months and I want to get my license there because it's easier.

Now the problem is many people told me if I come back after 2/3 months IMT will not accept this driving license. I have to live for 6 months in my country for this driving license to be valid.

Please let me know if it's true or what's up with this situation.

@ryanK0,

What you're talking about doesn't make any sense. You always have to change your driving licence if it is issued by your country. I suggest you get your licence in Portugal, it's easier for you.
