Change of residence to Malta

I am retired and planning to spend a lot of time in Malta and am trying to find out if I would be better off changing my residence from the UK to Malta. Has anyone done this and how does it affect your income tax and inheritance tax.

Since Brexit it is not easy to retire here, if you wanted to come for a holiday you can only stay ninety days out of one hundred and eighty.
