Do you know a reasonable priced Resident Card Renewal service?

    I have been living in HCMC for around 10 years and now -again- I need to renew my resident card.
Operation is simple. I am still married to the same Vietnamese woman, and we will submit the same documents as in the previous time, and they will give us a new card.
I don't want to prepare documents and go and come there , and follow the procedure. Instead of that, I want to hire an agency to do this simple job.
It is very easy for them compared with me,  because they are already in that department every day, it is their job.

But when I ask, they required many millions of VND for this simple formal job (3-4 ,even one of them 5 million). If you ask me, even 2 million is too much for this simple procedure, because no need to work hard or long time on anything, it is just simply submitting and then following the result for a short term. Everything is already well-known and ready for submission.

We agree to pay higher fees for complicated tasks, but there is no unknown point or part inside for this job. Requesting these fees is not fair in my opinion.
Additionally, I get bored from these situations, just because we are foreigners they multiply the the real value of the service by many times.

So I am asking, do you know any service provider who requests reasonable fees according to the hardness of the job?

After COVID, All agents were totally forbidden to be involved in the submission of paperwork for a spousal TRC, either the original application or the renewal.

It's possible that situation has changed.

Call the English language hotline at HCMC Immigration to be sure, before you lay out your đồng.

well you might know for sure if you followed my advice and actually called the immigration office and talked to the English speaking information line.

many companies offer illegal services online, and very often take your money and then tell you that for some reason they can't get your service approved.

Filling out the TRC forms is a piece of cake. Getting the wife to fill out part of local police stamp quite another piece of cake.  Unless you are really 'lazy', eating 2 pieces of cake, can be done in just few hours....no sweat....

Wife and I tried phoning immigration on the Vietnamese and English lines and no one EVER picked up the phone. Hope things have improved.

Hà Nội Immigration answers the phone more often and they are much more helpful.

A person doesn't need to live in the north to ask them questions.
