Looking for insights from people who have moved to Panama

Hola,

I’ve spent a little time visiting in Panama. Mainly David, Boquete and Cerra Punta. I’m 62, retired Engineer living in Pensacola Fl. While visiting Panama I enjoyed the simple, slow way of life, food and nature. I’m in the process of trying to wrap my head around what i need to do to get there. I’m under no delusions as to it being the ”Perfect Paradise.” As such I would like to rent a furnished apartment for 3 months, give or take… That way i have a more realistic expectation of what life will be like before selling my house etc etc. Quality of life is a big motivator for me, trying to maximize my retirement income. Anyway, would really enjoy speaking with people that have made this move.
