You really should ask your landlord, as they need to approve ANY installation required, even if it's only to add an adapter to a pipe.
If the installation is done improperly and you end up with a flood or water damage, you would be totally responsible.
Best advice I can give based on what my Vietnamese wife and I have done at properties we've rented:
1. Check with your landlord first.
2. Go the the nearest store of Điện Máy XANH. They install and cover the warranty on all items purchased there.
Your nearest store is at:
Lô A8 Võ Văn Kiệt, P, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng (Google Maps link)
3. BE PREPARED TO LEAVE IT when you move out OR be willing to return plumbing and cabinets to their original condition
4. You can also simply ask your landlord to get one installed and perhaps offer to pay for all or part of it, but that sort of agreement is always best negotiated BEFORE signing a lease.
Good luck with the outcome and please give us feedback about your progress with this.

Well, you did ask about a "...water filter system". I don't think a Brita would be considered a "system".
So, I have to ask...where is the water coming from which you intend to filter through a Brita and store in the fridge? Eddy, I certainly hope not from the tap! A Brita would not help(Link).
You'll be buying your water (if not already, then soon enough) in 20L water jugs, the jugs with the blueish hue. The water in those jugs is filtered by way of reverse osmosis. Using a Brita with that water would be redundant.
When you find out where to buy your water, the delivery guys will lug it up to your apartment. I suggest buying 5 jugs at a time. A fairly standard rate for water is ~15K VND per 20L, so ~75K for 5 jugs. On your first purchase, you'll be required to deposit ~50K for each jug, so for 5 jugs, ~250K. First order of 5 jugs will be ~325K, but thereafter 5 jugs will cost you only ~75K (delivered!) every time.
One of the best purchases I've made here was a 20L water cooler, with hot and cold faucets. I never use the hot, so that function is switched off. Cold water, on demand. Now, it isn't necessary to have a 20L water cooler as the jugs can be had with their own pour spout/valve, in which case you can then store some water in the fridge.

We bought ours on Lazada but I see there are more seller listings on Shopee.
There is one big store in Đà Nẵng that carries them:
Siêu Thị Điện Máy Nội Thất Chợ Lớn
116-118 120-122 Nguyễn Tri Phương
It's in a very pleasant part of town, directly across the street from 29/3 Park Lake (link) our major inner city oasis.

As Aidan so rightly mentioned, a Britta or any other filtration pitcher isn't going to protect you against the most serious tap water risks here.
In our home, the tap water is filtered through one of the systems I previously mentioned, and then we run it through a Britta for optimal flavor enhancement.
I highly recommend this method to any casual readers (my Vietnamese wife doesn't trust the 20 liter home delivery companies).
It seems to be your habit to not be specific the first time you ask a question.
I've basically done your online searches for you, so perhaps the next time you can try translating your SPECIFIC needs into Tiếng Việt and then searching Google and Google maps to get exactly what you need?
Or develop relationships with your local Vietnamese neighbors and shopkeepers by showing them photos of what you need.
Or ask your landlord.
Maybe get out of your neighborhood and search one of the larger markets in town such as Chợ Cồn.
Most local fresh markets have one or more housewares stores in the immediate vicinity, often inside the market itself.
However, it's quite likely you'll need to order replacement filters online.
Good luck!

There's been news articles about those efff'ers! There was one guy only steps away from my door in Thai Nguyen who I'd seen filling empty jugs with a freaking garden hose, and then capping/wrapping them!
I've had no issues with the 20Ls in any of the places I've lived, always buying from places locals have recommended to me. Not all the suppliers are crooked S.O.B.s., thank goodness. My advice, from experience, is to buy from large volume suppliers who've too much to lose, and too little to gain, by cheating/poisoning people.
I forgot to mention that although it doesn't show up on GRAB mart searches, there's a possibility that Brita filter "systems" are available at Lotte Mart, Mega Market, Go! Market (formerly Big C) or Co-Op Market.
This is our home complete system:
We simply pull water from the main Sunhouse filtration system and pour it into the Brita unit.

Sounds like a "system" to me...

Which reminds me. Don't forget to read my earlier link to the Zoophobic thread. Twice a year, Eddy, whether you think you need it or not. For me it's New Year's Day (01/01) and Canada Day (01/07). Easy dates to remember
Fugacar is popular, effective, and available nationwide (and dirt cheap). It's what we use here.
