We'll just have to use our inner strengths.   Retirement isn't easy; and in this tropical humidity right now... it is anything but golden.

The forum needs him... people have written me on 'private' to say they enjoy the 'Edwin' show...   and 'eyes' sell advertising.   LOL!!!

I'm trying to determine how to create a character based on him for a novel I've started... all I can imagine so far is a sepia toned old guy with dirty shoes and a mustache, but always wears a hat.  I'm digging into 1930's 40's photographs from Argentina for inspiration... he sort of fits that era; like the kind of guy who would have thrown a rock at Eva Perón.  Of course, I'll change his name.

Vet herr, looking to move as well  ive been planning for about a year now  there are teally great suggestions here. I highly agree that it is helpful to find an area with a small expat community to help with the intergration process.

the combined pensions will most likely be sufficent. find remote work to keep you occupied but not stressed

also i feel your struggle of not happy but not miserable, ive been there too

good luck you and the family
