Hi all,

I live in Melbourne, Australia and expecting an offer for a role in Qatar. I'm trying to plan the relocation. Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Can you please confirm the following:

  1. I'm trying to work out the best relocation plan. I want to I move only myself first, and then they join me after a month. Is that possible, or the visa process requires more time?
  2. Can I apply for the family Residence Permit (RP) straight after receiving my Residency Permit (RP), or do I have to wait certain period of time?
  3. Can the kids start in school mid October/early November? Or they can only start at the beginning of the year.
  4. Anyone here from Australia who relocated to Qatar - what documents do we need from the Australian school to be able to register them in Qatar schools? (Report from the school, attested by DFAT?)

Thanks.
