Banks and credit cards in Mexico

Post new topic

Calichase

Hi everyone, my short name is Caliche. I am still in the US, and planning relocating to Mexico with my husband. I have never been in Mexico. My husband is from there. I am very excited, and at the same time nervous.

We know there are things and documents that we are needing to move with us. We re very unsure if moving furniture and other goods are the right move. We are still thinking about our cars and we do not know if moving them there or not. It seems difficult. Also, it appears I need private health insurance. We have been investigating and only have one company that seems good and reasonable with price. My husband will get the service from the Mexican health insurance but I understand I will need to do my own. I am getting there without a Mexican permanent resident card only like a tourist. I will be traveling back and forth between Mexico and US. We are still keeping our bank accounts in US...what makes sense for banks and credit cards in Mexico?  Any advise is welcome.
