What should this mean? There is no such word

Maggiembombo

Appeal process

@TominStuttgart I think he mis-spelt and means this:

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remonstration

According to this, a "Remonstation" (German word - I doubt there is an equivalent in English) is an old-fashioned and buerocratic word for an appeal. It is used in complaints of public servants against their bosses, in appeals of students against their exam results or visa-applicats against a rejection.

@Maggiembombo I assume you mean a visa rejection appeal here? I found no information about how long this takes and think it depends lagely on the embassy and other officials involved (Ask them!). I would expect it to take longer than the original rejection decision. (How long was that?)

Maggiembombo

So beppi how long does it takes for the visa application

Maggiembombo

@beppi

The appeal was deposited last month

beppi

@Maggiembombo How long did yours take?

you need to know which visa is refused, the reasons given by the embassy, to close the doors of refusal. there may be solutions. we have 1 year to make a remonstration, but it can take months before having a response. we can make a amicable remonstration to the embassy, if we bring new elements, otherwise the response will be the same, on the forum in French we often discuss refusals because many Africans are in this case, often for the study visa or family reunification  https://www.expat.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=4259 jean luc 1f609.svg
