Rental deposit

Movingtobrussels

Hi,

I need to deposit two months rent but have no bank account yet in Belgium as I haven't moved there yet. The real estate agency suggests Korfine for this and to insure the apartment. What I read online about this company is awful. Any suggestion? I heard about Ethias too... Thanks a lot.

Korfine is fine, anything which is third party where none (tenant or landlord) has control over deposit is fine.

Yes I confirm that. Korfine is fine. I was in a similar situation few years ago when I first moved to Belgium. I used korfine for the deposit and when I left the apartment, few weeks later I received the money back. Of course they take some fees and some time to transfer back the money but the process was rather smooth

Agree with the comments above. Korfine is widely used for rental deposits.
