@binu3d
Hi binu3d,
Thank you for your message. If I understand correctly, you are looking for a job in Luxembourg in the agricultural sector that will allow you to obtain a visa. Can you please confirm this for me? Could you also let me know what research you have already done, if any, so that I can advise you better without giving you information you might already have?
Thank you!
Lauranne
Hello
I'm also looking for the same please help out with the possible opportunities
@Lauranne
Hi dear if you can advise me to too,am graduated from faculty of agriculture and interested to work as a fruit picker in Luxemburg, searching for Visa sponsorship ready to move immediately
Hello @Vishnuvardhan S and @inasmamin2012!
Of course, I will do my best to help you!
I would first recommend that you check this page of the guide, where you will find general information about how to find a job in Luxembourg. At the end of the page, you'll also find links to job search websites.
You can also submit your application online in our job section, here.
On most job search websites, you can select the field in which you want to work, such as agriculture.
Specifically regarding jobs in the agricultural field, I recommend looking at the Ministry of Agriculture’s website, available here. They don’t have a job section, but there is a lot of information on this site that could be useful to you. You can also check the Chamber of Agriculture’s website.
Another idea might be to look up a list of farms in Luxembourg on a search engine and see if you can contact them directly to ask if they are looking for employees. You can also contact temp agencies like Adecco or Agrolux Interim, which are likely to have positions in this field that might suit you.
What do you think? Do these informations answer your questions?
Feel free to ask me any other questions you might have on this subject!
Have a great day,
Lauranne
Hello everyone!
Here is the list of shortage occupations in Luxembourg, which the country publishes every year.
I don’t think agricultural positions are included in this list, but perhaps you have other skills that might match one or more of the occupations listed? It is easier to obtain a visa if you apply for a job that appears on this list.
Hope it will help!
Lauranne
Dear Lauranne
I want to apply for the please guide me what's the procedure to apply this job
@Lauranne yes
@faizafarry4
Hi faizafarry4,
Here is what I can recommend: look at the list of job titles that might match your skills. Then, go to job search websites and refine your search using the job titles you identified.
To know where to look for a job, I recommend checking the end of this article. You will find links there. I particularly recommend the website of ADEM, Jobs.lu and Moovijob.lu. Once you have found suitable positions, you can check directly on the site how to proceed. Sometimes you need to go to the employer’s website, sometimes you can apply directly from the job search site.
Generally, you need to send at least a CV / resume, and very often a cover letter as well. If necessary, you may also be asked to provide your diplomas or certifications.
Does this answer your question? Do you need advice on how to create a CV / resume for Luxembourg?
Let me know!
Lauranne

Hello my girlfriend and I are interested in fruit picking. Please can you suggest the best way forward?
Kind regards,
Mark
@markzipan1986
Hi Mark!
Thank you for your message. Regarding fruit picking, I would suggest checking temp agencies specialized in agriculture jobs (such as Agro Lux). You can also check woofing, or contact farms directly to see if they have jobs available. They might need workers at this time of the year. In September and October we have a lot apples and pears to pick up. I would also check with apple juice companies or cooperatives; they'll probably need people to pick up the fruits in the next few weeks. There is also a company called Ramborn who makes local cider. They might help a well.
I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any question!
Talk to you soon,
Lauranne

@kidengreeinnovation
Hello kidengreeinnovation!
I'll try to answer to your questions as best as I can:
1. What are the requirements to work as a fruit picker in Luxembourg (e.g., visa, language, experience)?
Usually no experience is required. English would be a must, and any other langage is always a plus in Luxembourg (ideally: French, Luxembourgish, German, Portuguese...). Regarding Visas, if you come from a EU country you don't need one. Otherwise, you'll need at least a temp authorization to stay, and then a work visa. You can find more info here.
2. Which farms or companies in Luxembourg offer fruit picking jobs?
It really depends. A farm could need help one year and don't need extra help the next. I would suggest googling "farms in Luxembourg" and "orchards in luxembourg" and then contact every farm / orchard directly. You can also check companies that produce apple juice, cider (like Ramborn), pear juice...
3. What types of fruits are typically picked in Luxembourg, and during which seasons?
Mirabelles, Apples and Pears. Pick up usually happens between mid August and beginning of October (depending on the weather). Grappes are also picked up, in the Moselle region, where there are a lot of wine companies. The pick up usually happens in September.
4. What is the average salary or hourly wage for fruit pickers in Luxembourg?
I would say it's minimum wage for non-qualified workers: it's currently about 14,80€ per hour before taxes. Please note that minimum wage in Luxembourg is very high compared to any other country, but that the cost of living - especially housing - is high as well.
5. Are there any accommodations or housing options available for fruit pickers in Luxembourg?
Not that I know of, no. Some farms might offer housing, but it will depends on your employer.
6. How do I apply for fruit picking jobs in Luxembourg, and what documents are needed?
You can look on job search websites, contact farms directly or send your resume to temp work agencies specialized in agriculture job (I gave a link to one company in messages above). Regarding the documents you need, it depends on your nationality. Please check the link I gave you when answering question 1.
7. Are there any specific regulations or laws governing fruit picking work in Luxembourg?
I'm not sure what you mean by that? I think it's the general law that applies here. What did you have in mind, specifically?
8. Can anyone share their personal experiences or tips for working as a fruit picker in Luxembourg?
I cannot answer this one, sorry! Is there anyone with a fruit picking experience around here?
9. Are there opportunities for advancement or professional growth in the fruit picking industry in Luxembourg?
I'm not sure, but I would tend to say no. Fruit picking is really not a huge industry in Luxembourg. Most farms are private and family owned, with low maintenance and few or no employees. They hire help few weeks per year and that's it.
10. How do I get to the farms or orchards where the fruit picking jobs are located?
You mean how to contact them? Or how to get there, physically speaking?
