@Bhavna Hi thank you so much!!  Right now I have no set place. I prefer  the south but just want somewhere with no snow.  Its basically going to be anywhere I might be able to find work or the city my daughter manages to get into med school. my 2 younger daughters will be In highschool who will only know some basic Italian.

Hi

i am American. i think you are not an Italian citizen, coming from Canada, a Canadian citizen? Do you speak Italian? What type of Visa are you planning to come to Italy on?

Have you looked at the Italian Embassy Website re:  requirements to move to Italy?

A lot of questions right?

You need to decide on where to live-straight forward.

You need to know what is required, like a place to live, lease or deed to present with your applIcation to the Embassy.

The website is crystal clear about requirements for income.

A suggestion-if you are not an Italian cItizen and your Nonna is your Italian connection, see a lawyer to find out if you can apply for that opportunity/benefit.

As with all posts, not all info is clear. BUT, understand you cannot come to Italy with your kids and find a home and a job, even if your daughter was a med student in Italy.

if you can get citizenship i offer it is a lengthy process depending on where you apply in Canada.

I doubt a healthcare organization will sponsor you for a

Visa to work as a tech. i also doubt the salary is sufficIent to support 3 kids. Rome, Florence, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Palermo have large hospitals…they post jobs. If you speak Italian, call a hospital HR office and inquire.

you know if you get citizenship, your kids automatically get it by decent via Nonna to you.

Your daughter will get nice tuition breaks-

Go on the website, get a lawyer, first visit is usually free:) Buona Fortuna! Boca Lupo

Sorry i missed the line about your citizenship being in play. That is positive. So no doubt your kids will be coming as citizens. That helps,  tons. Get your kids speaking Italian now. Get a tutor if you can! Be sure you are fluent if you want to work. The pay again is poor…even for MSN Nurses:(  As i said circumstances are not complete in posts but you need to decide on your destination sooner than later.
