move from UK to Gibraltar and rent accommodation in Spain ?

Hi, after seeing a few post 's i am a bit confused, i am English and a pensioner so if i move to Gibraltar and become a resident can i do what people are saying ''that you can rent and live at a property close by in Spain because it is more affordable then Gibraltar ? regards in anticipation , burt.

Hi , thanks for reply , as i will be coming from the UK which is not part of the European union would i have to have a Spanish visa to live in a house in Spain ?

Hi , i am a bit disappointed in not getting any replies relevant to my questions, , come on you can do better than this , is this forum about Gibraltar ? ,,,,,,can an English person be registered as resident in Gibraltar but rent a place down the road across the border in Spain ?
