Registering baby's second name

Giulol7

Hello All,

I am about to give birth in Prague and my husband and I cannot figure out If it's possible to give our baby a second name with no legal value.

In Italy, where I am from, we can give a baby a second "symbolical" name, with no legal value, so not included in official documents and not needed when signing.

e.g. I was registered at birth with the name Giulia, Martina + Surname. Since the name Martina is only symbolical is not present in official acts regarding myself, nor I need to include it when doing my signature.

This only works If the parents add a comma between the first and second name, when registering the baby's name for the first time.

Does someone kindly know If there is a way to do the same thing in Czech Republic, or If it's not allowed? I've been researching a lot, but I can't really figure it out by myself.

Thank you very much to anyone who will read the message!
