Hi, I am writing to seek clarification regarding the eligibility for an L card for seconded (detached) employees in Belgium.

Having worked in Belgium for the past six years as a seconded employee, I have actively contributed to social security for over a year now. However, I have come across information stating that seconded employees are no longer eligible for the L card or permanent residency.

If I continue my role with the same organization as a detached employee for the next four years, will my contributions to social security make any difference in my eligibility for an L card?
