Hi,

I was given days and kept on extending because i was setting up a project. now that its up and running ive been given a contract. i wish to apply for both a residence and work permit. however the last time i went to extend. i was told they cant extend anymore but as soon as the project is considered a workplace i should apply for a permit. this was oct 2022 , i got the contract in 2024. what do i do now ? do i pay the fine of $600 first prior to applying for the work permit and residence permit?

Hello and welcome !

have you enquired from visa services ?

They'll let you know if you have to pay to process your work and residence permit...

Hi my country doesn’t need to apply for visas for entry we just enter as if were tourists and are given 30-60 days except the work permits,  business visa and residence permit.

So i can say I have overstayed considering I kept getting extensions of my days.Until they said they cannot extend anymore. I just wait to have the necessary paperwork for a permit which i do now.

What would you advise I do ?
