From the last 6 months, any type of visit visa cannot be converted to any kind of residence - Work or Dependent. Check with the agent who has given the Visit visa and get an extension through the same agent or if you applied directly through evisa portal, Get an extension through any agent, and your son has to exit the country and the sponsor has to apply for the dependent visa when the kid is out of the country. Once the Dependent visa is approved, your kid can arrive in the country.

Remaining on an expired visa renders one's status illegal; it is advisable to visit the NPRA to clear any fines. It is beneficial if your company has a competent Public Relations Officer who can facilitate the acquisition of a family visa. Typically, in such situations, the individual must leave the country, and obtaining a visa after overstaying can be challenging.
