Do I qualify for a citizenship?

My grandfather waw born in Calabria Italy and moved to America. Can I qualify for a citizenship as his descendent? I want to leave America.

There should be some chances you might qualify.

If I might, I would suggest you to contact an italian lawyer specialized in italian citizenship by descent (ius sanguinis). I do not know how much they ask for their services, but from what I heard around, they should be capable to save you a lot of time, as it could take you years to get it (see on youtube:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0Ozxa0A9oM )

One factor which could play a role is if your father was born before your grandfather became a naturalized American citizen. However, contacting an Italian lawyer specializing in Italian citizenship by descent is definitely the way to go.
