Hi,

The form: RESIDENCY STAY VISA FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES, RELIGIOUS PURPOSES OR FOR LIVING FROM INDIVIDUAL REVENUES (D7). has specified only the Police Check needing Apostille.

The APPLICATION FOR NATIONAL VISA form doesn't specify any documents needing Apostille

Can anyone advise if this is really the case?  I am getting together a shedload of documents which will cost a huge amount to Apostille - see below.  Can anyone advise if any of the below need Apostille also if you spot anything missing for D7 application to London office of VSF please let me know!!!

DBS certificate (valid for only 4 months) signed and with Apostille

National Visa application

Residency stay visa (D7)

Personal Statement

Portuguese document giving permission for Portuguese police to do a criminal record check

Passport

Passport - colour photocopy of the biographical data page

X2 passport pics (take x4)

Travel Insurance (minimum 6months from date of appointment with VFS) - main policy wording and page with benefits table.

3months of UK bank statements

Latest Portuguese Bank statements

Rental lease

Letter confirming re raising of monthly rent

X6 months of rental income statements

NIF certificate

Thank you!

Hi @Toshiro123,

I think the apostille is only needed for the criminal record certificate. And, probably for retirees/ pensioners they also have to submit an official document issued by the competent authorities with apostille certifying they are retired/pensioners and the retirement amount they receive.
