Visa Cancelation

Post new topic

Zamarah Blythe Edades

I resigned from my previous employer in June. I gave them a resignation letter, which they acknowledged through a message on WhatsApp. I also sent them an offer letter from my new employer. I have been in communication with them regarding my visa, asking them to either cancel it or open mobility so my new employer can apply for or transfer it. My previous employer opened the mobility in August, but now my new employer's CR is experiencing some issues, which will take a maximum of one month to fix. Until then, my new employer cannot transfer my visa to their CR.

Now, my previous employer is threatening to file a case against me on Sunday so that I will be deported. I have already tried negotiating with them to give me one more month since I am not running away. My new employer is just in the process of fixing their CR issues. What should I do?

It's a complex situation, and I think you should visit the LMRA to seek their advice.
