Hi, if you do a search on the forum you'll find a discussion on this company.

I haven't had any dealings with them, as unfortunately when I was looking for property (this was some time ago, maybe six or seven years) and contacted them about a property on the site they didn't reply. Another forum member found the same more recently. But someone else said they bought with them (I think it was late last year or earlier this year) and had a good experience.

One thing to note - though many of the listings on the site are recently added, some have been listed there a looooong time, with the same photos. It's worth asking with any online property when the photos were taken, as houses left empty for five to ten years won't still be in the same condition as the photo and may have deteriorated significantly. As I said in my other post, it's wise to assume village houses will need more work doing than the photos and the description suggest, no matter who you buy from.

I'm not sure if it's Brit or Bulgarian owned, but the names on the blog posts are Michael and Pete. The business has been online for quite a few years now, so they do have some longevity.

As @janemulberry says, they've been around for a few years, which is usually a very good sign. They also do pay-monthly which is quite popular, and they also provide renovation assistance which is very useful when you're new here.

If you want to buy sight-unseen, or you want to do a pay-monthly, then checking their bona fides is a bit more useful. If you're viewing, then you'll see the property and chat with the agent.

It's totally normal here to reserve a property, if you like it, and you want an agent to stop marketing it. This requires a small non-refundable reservation deposit (500-2k euros usually, which covers the agent's commission). The legal transfer/purchase is handled by a state-registered notary here, and would be done a few weeks later (usually).

As well as this agent, I suggest you look RightMove (very large property website) as they have plenty of Bulgarian listings. Popular agents here include BulgariaDirect and Mowlem Bulgaria (both offer pay-monthlies and outright purchase). i'd have more confidence that listings on RightMove (I assume they charge fees) are up-to-date and available, as opposed to an agent's own website.

Good luck with your search!

But be warned that Rightmove have a lot of listings from fantasists when it comes to prices....😅
